Jumping back in

I really love dyeing fabric. I also love dyeing paper.

Tonight I am dyeing a silk cotton scarf.  I tied a few areas and dyed osage orange and pomegranate -It was quite a nice golden yellow, then into an alum mordant bath, tied a lot more and into madder. I used twist ties I hope they worked well enough to give some resist. Should be yellow underneath the tie. And some should be white. We’ll see.

Here’s how it looks right now-kind of rusty orange but a bit more coral than this monitor is showing.

madderI love my job

Marjie
