If not, winter

We had a crazy snow storm yesterday, but I really don’t want to talk about that.

I’d much rather talk about flowers and spring and warm weather. My beautiful, gorgeous, soul saving hibiscus gave up some blooms over the last few days.  And the fig tree was a gift from a neighbor last Fall. Nurturing and watering these plants all through the winter because we have to keep going. We can’t lose hope. Spring will come. Oh, it’s here!

Yes It’s flower printing time again!

figtreeI didn’t even know this baby was all leafed up. I had it in one of the back rooms with north light. Maybe figs this year?

flowerI’m rolling up the hibiscus flowers and fig leaves with some azalea leaves and buds, some dried rose petals left from Valentine’s day and a big leaf I found in my studio, dried and pressed over the winter-Very happy I saved it. All here along with scented geranium and some sage leaves still trying to make it in my garden. You can see the flowers already giving up their beauty.
teabathRolled up tight, my little bundle bound with a lovely soft blue wool left behind by Kate, takes a warm bath in dried hibiscus flowers from last year.

And this morning?
doneI’ll leave it to dry and stay tight for a couple of weeks. Then we’ll see.  I just hope I can wait that long to peek.

Have a lovely, creative day!
