It’s been a beautiful summer and I’m sorry to see it go. We actually had the heat on for a bit today as the house was cold and damp from the rain. First time this year. The garden was absolutely smashing this year -lots of tomatoes, cukes, eggplant and so, so many flowers in my dye Garden! My indigo – Persicaria Tinctoria, took off about halfway through the summer. I’m so happy! It’s an annual so I’ll have to figure out what I want to do with it. Absolutely beautiful on silk!
First one is fresh leaf indigo over weld background and printed with hibiscus and sulfur cosmos-Everythin except weld was from my garden. And I will have weld next year to dye with. My first year plants came up! Weld is a biennial – first year they stay close to the ground, second year hopefully will be 9 feet tall and I can harvest them.
Second photo is sappanwood background and then bundled with flowers from the garden- pansies and sulfur cosmos mostly. Both can be found in my Etsy Shop

How was your summer?
Love,
Marjorie
