I’ve been cleaning and de-cluttering all week. Everything still looks the same to me.
Last night I just sat on my bed feeling sorry for myself. I looked down at the beige comforter so old I don’t even remember where I bought it. Yes I did say beige. I thought to myself why in the world do I not have a hand dyed quilt of my very own on our bed?
I dove into my stash and started cutting strips. I wanted something I could whip up fast!
here I am at noon today and it is about 100 degrees- please send me all your quilter’s telepathic love and support as soon as possible.
HI Marjorie,
Good for you….sorting out your stuff despite the stifling heat. It’s a max of 15 degrees here where I live in Oz, & I find I have been doing the same, cleaning the decks with my stash of stuff – bags of it will be donated to friends & charity – someone else can use what I have grown out of. Thumbs up on your stripped piece, keep it moving along & let’s see what happens.
Hi Pamela – thank so much for the words of encouragement. You must mean 15 C?
I’ve got 80 degrees that I could share as well. I’m lovin’ your ‘in-progress’ quilt! It is going to be awesome!
Thanks Laura! i am sailing along (lol) since I got your message! Seriously -my back and head were aching and I’m about to give up and there you are another of my bestest and coolest 80 degree buddies putting the wind back in my sails! How did I ever get anything done before blogging?
Wonderful! Why is it we always take care of others and don’t see what we need? š I’m sending some of our cool 80 degrees your way! Positive waves, positive waves! š I’ve been organizing, I find the more I organize the more unorganized stuff is! and thank you, now I won’t feel so bad when I feel sorry for myself! š You rock!
You are so totally the best and coolest blogger buddy!
Thanks! If you’re in hot weather I can’t really say you are cool! But you are one hot blogger! š
LOL
