we had so much snow today! They closed the college and i had the day off, so I decided to do something new with fiber.I’ve been playing around with the drop spindle I got over a year ago. I finally got the hang of it last week. This past summer I bought a lot of wool fiber from the local farm stand at the market. I have it in three different natural colors – off white, dark brown and a lovely light brown. The light brown was the easiest to spin. I filled up the spindle and then well I just had to dye it! I used acid dyes -magenta and a deep hunter green that had a lot of blue in it. Just look what I got!

The drop spindle with white fiber-This is NOT the one I dyed. This is what I just started spinning today! Just want you to see how it looks on my spindle.
