Beautiful

I still love dyeing and I do it whenever I can. I haven’t had much time lately to do what I love and I am feeling pretty down about it. I gave myself this birthday present.

I went to JoAnns in Staten Island and I bought a ton of muslin. That’s really all they had. Oh and dupioni silk that was $24 a yard. I refused even though I love silk dupioni.

I started with yellow and then golden oak. I got this

I have to admit I wasn’t crazy about it.

So back in it went. First I folded one piece up like a big fat spanakopita.

I stuffed the other two in a jar

I poured turquoise over both and went to work Here’s what I got

    what a transformation!!! the colors changed after the second dye pot. absolutely beautiful!! can’t wait to see more.
