Like a do-over you know?
I made two of these Custom Linen Table Runners last year for the Holidays and I think that for each one that came out great, I lost one. Either the print was blurry or too light. So I am going to over-dye this one and see what happens. There are two leaf prints on each one. The white linen is heavy weight so I will use a bit more color than usual. But which colors should I use? Well let that be a surprise for tomorrow. I’m sure I will be just as surprised as you will! Since it is linen, I will use my procion cold water dyes and use soda ash to fix. -Wish me luck!
Before I left for Portland, I made a huge batch of coffee cinnamon swirl soap and added some orange essential oil. It came out wonderful and I just cut it up today. MMMMM. Coffee grinds in the soap help get the smell of onions and garlic off your hands. I mean personally I like the smell of raw onions and garlic -but I also like the way this soap smells, And I LOVE the way it looks and the way my hands feel after I use it! I started playing around with a stamp while it was still soft. Love the hand image always and forever. Stocking up soap to sell at the Farmers Market in August. this will be my kitchen bar.
Q – Beautiful linen. And the soap….. STOP IT! I so totally do not need another hobby. LOL! What a delicious concoction, I’d be tempted to taste it. The stamp is the perfect finishing touch.
Thanks Q!Well OK but it is really really fun. I’m going to try to make some lotion bars too!
Can’t wait to see how the over-dye turns out!
Thanks Laura! So far so good. It’s in the washer now.
That soap looks amazing. I love the stamp!
Thanks Donna!!
