Swaps are coming in -WOW!

I’m so excited to post about the beautiful pieces I’ve received so far in the mail from everyone that participated in the swap! Be sure to check out their blogs if you haven’t already!

From Kathryn at tangerine key I received this beautiful piece of white cotton with this cool pattern. Kathryn also sent on a piece of gorgeous blue silk with orange markings that I haven’t photographed yet.

From Vernon two pieces of his fabulous indigo stash both shibori I think, one definitely arashi -Vern do you have a blog?

From Nell at collage goddess I got this lovely textured piece and a hand painted striped beauty with just enough shine. How did you get that cool texture Nell?

And Marie sent  two large cotton pieces, very beautifully done, on top a soy wax resist and the other with salt – I think! Marie is that salt and do you have a blog?

Marie1marie2I’m overwhelmed with all the beauty. I’m placing everything together and playing with it. I hope to do a piece that includes everyone’s gifts! Thanks again and more to come!!!

Artists, please comment on how you made your piece if you like, I know we would all be interested to hear about that!!!

Have a lovely creative day,

xo, Marjorie

Mine (with the hands) is made with a thermofax screen, a silk screen and thickened dyes on cotton fabric.

Thank you so much for posting the pieces and the link. I got the texture by thoroughly wetting the canvas, ringing it out then spraying it with the ink and letting it dry.

Yes that is salt and sun painting. I don’t have a blog…yet! Working on it.
