I visited my twins Laura and Jonny in Portland for a few days. they just turned 20 so I just had to see them.
I had a fantastic time and I really didn’t want to leave. Laura, Meghan and i went to Fabric Depot, this awesome gigantic fabric store in Portland. While I was there I picked up a package of fat quarters to make a jar quilt. Laura’s roommate Meghan loaned me her awesome Kenmore sewing machine and I made this while everyone was working on their homework and going to class. Thanks Meghan! I’ve always wanted to try this. I didn’t have a pattern so Laura and I just made one up. It’s wonky but I love it. Just have to bat it and quilt it and send it back to the five lovely ladies at bitch haus. Maybe they will make me an honorary member.
Jonny, Laura and I took a ride up Mount Tabor and had tacos at Por que no. Mostly we just hung out and I soaked up some twin awesomeness.
When i came home I finished up another order of Brooklyn Bridge Tea towels and then I got to have some more fun. I dyed a beautiful piece of linen blue, no pics yet but here are some new tea towels i just made and put up in the store. My camera is on the fritz so I am shooting blind.
missing Portland and the kids, though they are really no longer kids.
Those teatowels are awesome!
