An awesome hand dyer

Vicki Welsh won my contest a while back and I was very pleased to send her one of my tea towels. I’ve been wanting to catch up with blogging for weeks now and I can’t think of a better way to get back into it than telling you all about Vicki’s work.

Vicki’s dyed pieces are phenomenal and she is able to dye consistently and get a range of colors that she can produce again and again. Her fabrics are deliciously dyed and ready to purchase in her etsy store here. Check out her lovely palettes and shibori pieces. Here is her beautiful woodland palette.

But I really love Vicki’s blog. There are many wonderful tutorials for using her dyed fabrics and the traditional blocks she puts together with her hand dyes are lovely and inspiring.  She also has a newsletter to keep us up to date and offer monthly give-aways of her fabrics. And you can sign up for it on the home page of her blog here.

Here is a photo of some amazing placemats she made from her hand dyes along with a link to the tutorial she posted. Aren’t they gorgeous? I am so inspired! Enjoy!

I am in love with these!
